Thanks for viewing the One Dollar Computer site. All I'm looking for is your time and 1 dollar, I'm in need of a new computer. Unfortunately I got laid off recently and being a construction worker in the winter its near impossible to find anyone who's hiring. The past year i've put in long days for little money...(I made 15k this year) I'm by no means rich or anything. On top of everything I was dropped like I didn't even matter to this company after everything I did for them over the summer. So i thought i'd use the wonderful power of the internet to help me with my cause. I've set up a paypal donation button below. Its fast and secure. All i'm looking for is 1 dollar...4 quarters and alittle time  from everyone who visits this site. Please help me get my dream system it'll only be 1 dollar from you, hopefully I can get enough people to donate alittle to collectively give me enough to buy it. I've been told I should add more content here, so i guess this will turn into alittle blog so to speak...

I just got laid off a week ago, I have been putting applications out there, I'm only lookin for generousity from the internet because it seems no matter how hard I work, or how much I save I'm never able to actually save anything towards a new PC. I'll work up a few hundred dollars over the course of a few months and then BAM my truck will die, or need some repairs, or family will need money, which I gladly give to them because lets face it, their more important than a PC. But thats why I created this, this way I won't be taking any of this for anything BUT my PC. Just so you all know, I am saving where i can (once i get a job again) towards the PC its not just you who donate that are paying for this. I thought this was a creative way to help with my problem. I've done it for people who i've seen lookin for donations. Its either this or wait til I pay off all my debt which will take me a few years. Right now I have a 933 mhz pentium 3, with 512 megs of ram, and PCI video card. Its not really worth upgrading. For once in my life i would like to own something brand new...so thats why I'm doing this, thats why I'm asking for either your time or your time and 1 dollar. Once my goal is complete I will take this site down and I will definitely donate my time and money to anyone i see doing this also.
